Mission: Malawi - Day 1 - The passport arrives!

Got my passport in the mail today...getting excited about the trip now! It's full of electronics in the cover (you can just tell). And the photo isn't on the cover anymore, it's on page two!

They say that you're supposed to make a xerox or two and keep it here and there and in your safe deposit box and all that....I'm wondering why I can't just scan it into a jpg image and put it in my Dropbox and Google Drive accounts?

There are a couple of helpful links on page 6 that I'm going to visit: travel.state.gov and cdc.gov.
